Absolutism unavoidably leads in order to:
1. government perpetrated mass murders,
2. revolution, when people have had enough of the tyrants
3. and finally, the inevitable demise of tyrants and proponents of absolutism.
December 21, 1989.
I was 26 years old and barely married for two months when what you see in the pictures above happened. I was in Romania, carrying an AKM-47 as a Navy reservist. I didn't really cared if I was to live or to die - living my entire as a slave under communism really made me indifferent to the perspective of dying during those blood soaked days of Christmas. In fact, I was ready to put a bullet in my head if the revolution wouldn't have succeed. We all knew they would come after us and shoot us anyway if we failed.
My father once told me: son, the single biggest mistake me and your grandad did was to surrender our guns in 1949 when the communists made gun ownership illegal. You paid for our mistake and I am sorry for that.
Now I have a 22 year old son and I am making ANYONE who wants to come to my home take my guns away A PLEDGE:
YOU WILL NOT TAKE MY GUNS. BE READY TO DIE IF YOU TRY AS I AM ALREADY PREPARED TO GIVE MY LIFE TO STOP YOU.
I WILL NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE MY FATHER AND GRANDFATHER DID.
I WILL NOT LET MY SON TO LIVE IN SLAVERY LIKE I DID. I WILL NOT LET HIM RISK HIS LIFE FIGHTING ANOTHER REVOLUTION TO OVERTHROW ANOTHER DICTATOR BECAUSE I WAS A COWARD AND GAVE UP INTO YOUR DEMANDS.
I owe that to my son. And I owe it to all the people who died for liberty in December 1989.
So help me God.

A crazed bloodthirsty hyena killed 26 lambs. Grief stricken sheep blame the sheepdogs. "Their tooth are dangerous" the sheep bleat.
Meanwhile, the pack of wolves who run the forest are salivating. Pretty soon the sheep will succeed in their pursuit of leaving the sheepdogs toothless.
And then, the entire flock will be theirs for the slaughter.

Like the price of guns and hunting gear wasn't high enough...
I think the evolution of the new lefty urban hunter goes something like this:
2006: Reads Michael Pollan’s The Omnivore’s Dilemma, about the ickyness of the industrial food complex. Starts shopping at a farmer’s market.
2008: Puts in own vegetable garden. Tries to go vegetarian but falls off the wagon.
2009: Decides to only eat “happy meat” that has been treated humanely.
2010: Gets a chicken coop and a flock of chickens.
2011: Dabbles in backyard butchery of chickens. Reads that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg decided to only eat meat he killed himself for a year.
2012: Gets a hunting permit, thinking “how hard can it be? I already totally dominate Big Buck Hunter at the bar.”
Hunting is undeniably in vogue among the bearded, bicycle-riding, locavore set. The new trend might even be partly behind a recent 9 percent increase from 2006 to 2011 in the number of hunters in the United States after years of decline. Many of these new hunters are taking up the activity for ethical and environmental reasons.
“It feels more responsible and ecologically sound to eat an animal that was raised wild and natural in my local habitat than to eat a cow that was fattened up on grain or even hay, which is inevitably harvested with fuel-hungry machines,” writes Christie Aschwanden, a self-described “tree-hugging former vegetarian.”
A recent spate of books with titles like The Mindful Carnivore and Call of the Mild chronicles the exploits of these first-time hunters.

The French Resistance rising again?
Will be this the generation of Frenchmen capable of rising to the task and defending their homeland - like Charles Martel and Joanne D'Arc did before them?

Last night I came to realize I didn't ran far enough. Communism is about to take over America with the full acceptance of half of the American people.
Maybe the American people need to experience communism themselves in order to realize their mistake. Maybe they need to see how it is when you have food rations, gasoline rations, toilet paper and detergent rations.
Maybe they need to see how living in a country where soap, shampoo, coffee, salami, cigarettes and whiskey are considered luxury items for the use of the upper class only, and where those items (obtained exclusively on the black market) can buy you a place ahead the line when you need a doctor visit for your father, heart medication for your mother or baby formula for your child.
Maybe they need to experience the waiting in line for 16 hours in a front of a grocery store to buy a malnourished chicken, or a bottle of cooking oil, a carton of eggs, or a pound of sugar, or a bottle of cooking propane - and when you're almost in the front of the line to be told they're sold out.
Maybe they need to sleep in their beds fully dressed up and wearing wool hats and gloves because they have no fuel to heat their homes.
Maybe they need to have their kids doing their homework at candle light because the electricity is shut down 22 hours a day out of 24.
Maybe they need to learn how to have their families share the the rationed hot water and have the entire family take their shower during the single hour of the week when the hot water runs. And if possible do their laundry in the same time.
Maybe they need to have their friends writing informative notes on them and have their telephones and homes under surveillance; and have their fathers, brothers or sisters arrested deported or "disappeared" because of a joke they made about the leadership of the ruling Party.
Maybe America needs to experience the communist paradise I experienced in order to wake the fuck up. I know I did.
That's all I have to say today.
Edited to add:
Some say it not possible for Obama to transform America in a communist country. That he doesn't have the political power to do it and that there are checks and balances in the Constitution that will prevent him to assume dictatorial powers.
Here is what my argument is against such naysayers:
What Obama is implementing now in America is socialism. Socialism is just a stepping stone on the path to communism. If you don't believe me, maybe you believe Karl Marx - he said that.
Obama operates under the teachings of Antonio Gramsci - he was the communist philosopher who first came with the theory that in advanced capitalist societies communism can never be implemented by force like it was in underdeveloped countries like Russia. According to him, communism in America and Western Europe needs to be introduced gradually by infiltrating the education system, taking religion out of people's lives, taking over the media, the unions and the political Parties and by greatly increasing dependence on social programs (see links).
By doing so, citizens themselves will be the ones asking for communism and no spilled would be necessary to abandon capitalism. It's the simple principle of boiling the frog by gradually increasing the water temperature.
So no, America will not become a full blown communist state in Obama's next four years. It will gradually become a socialist state, the stepping stone to communism Karl Marx was talking about. A stepping stone from which the next move to full communism will be just a small, natural step forward in the next decade.

a. ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns? Yes.
b. ban assault weapons? Yes.
c. mandatory waiting periods and background checks? Yes.
One more anti-gun SCOTUS Judge appointed by Obama and you can kiss your firearms goodbye.

Koenig, who is known for his documentary "400 Years Of The Telescope" (2009) just released the trailer for his upcoming project "Assaulted".
In Koenig's words, "Assaulted" is...
"...taking a critical look at the original intent of the current California guns laws in contrast with crime and murder statistics before and since their implementation; and compares these laws to those of the adjacent states. Story threads also look at the myriad of concealed carry permitting processes across the state to illustrate that not all residents are treated equal. In other words, this documentary will be a pro- 2nd Amendment documentary that will be aired on PBS (gasp!)
The threads below will be woven with current events in California and Nationally that are creating demands for new assault weapons legislation and ammunition sales restrictions. Are these law in the best interest of public safety or infringement of our civil rights?
We will seek out interviews with leading constitutional historians, anti-violence leaders, gun rights activists, law makers and gun owners to create a film that will start a meaningful conversation, not add to rhetoric.
Trailer is below:
This project is listed on Kickstarter.com, a website where ordinary people can contribute any amount, from $10 to $10,000 to the financing of independent movies. "Assaulted"s financing goal is $76,000 with 29 days to go.
The film has the official support and endorsment of California's largest gun rights discussion forum Calguns.net and that of the Calguns Foundation - the most active gun rights organization on the left coast.
You too can make a contribution to "Assaulted" so this movie can get of the ground and into production. Do not think that if you don't live in California you don't have any skin in the game...first, the movie will have a nation wide distribution on the PBS network (yeah, you read that right: PBS) and any flick that can present a pro-gun position, OUR position - counts. A lot.
Second, you know what they say: as California goes, the rest of the country goes. The front line in battlefield for gun rights in not Montana or Arizona or Oregon. It is California. If we win here, we will deal a decisive blow to all gun grabbing liberals in Washington, starting with Obama and ending with Feinstein and Schumer.
So please take a moment, click on the link below and open your wallet. In this age of gun hating liberal media, we need this movie done: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/assaulted/assaulted
Thank you in advance for your contribution!

I always said small diesel automobiles are the future...not hybrids, not electric cars. With his new model B-Max manufactured in Craiova - Romania, Ford is now the leader of the PRACTICAL fuel efficient automobile manufacturers. I wrote "PRACTICAL" in capital letters in order to emphasize the fact that this vehicle has no need to be plugged in an electrical outlet, it doesn't catch fire because of its on-board batteries, has an effective range of 370+ miles on a tank of fuel and doesn't need expensive Li-Ion battery exchanges every couple of years.
...."manufacturing will be handled by Automobile Craiova, which became Ford’s Eastern European subsidiary in 2008 after three turbulent decades under Romanian, French and Korean ownership. This is how Europeans outsource: Expensive Western European plants are increasingly running under capacity as work is transferred to factories in Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.
Because the B-Max is a car you’ll actually be able to buy this year, it has a turbocharged engine as opposed to batteries, fuel cells and fairy dust. Ford’s 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo EcoBoost is a compact, clever unit not unlike what we saw in the Sumo. Ford says it’s good for 118 horsepower and 57.6 mpg on the European cycle. This being Europe, there are of course two diesels to choose from as well, along with a smaller, or larger, gasoline engine." (Source)

Armed Citizen Stops Shooting Spree And Saves CopHere is the video:
An armed private citizen assisted a police officer who was pinned down by the gunfire of a madman who had just killed 3 people and could have killed many more. Amazingly the concerned citizen, Vic Stacy, did so by taking a shot of 150+ yards using only a pistol.
The caliber and gun are unknown, but Stacy mentions a “magnum bullet” which could mean a .357 or .44. Stacy landed multiple shots on the shooter and this allowed the police officer to also land shots with his AR-15 while the suspect was distracted. Complete story at the link
The guy is a hero.
It is disgusting that the company who owns the Aurora CO movie theater where the massacre occurred put a "no guns allowed" sign at the entrance and made that venue a death trap.
Also, four shots fired under stress from a handgun - and all four finding their target at over 150 yds?
Man... that's not good, not excellent, but absolutely amazing shooting. Superb combination between an extraordinary marksman and the good old magnum six shooter rounds. This is why I always favor wheel guns over pistols.

The political crisis in Romania deepened Friday after the Socialist majority in the Parliament in Bucharest voted to impeach President Traian Basescu amid rising international criticism of the left wing government’s apparent attempts to usurp power and subvert the country’s young democracy.Removed in a communist style putsch: twice elected
Romanian President Traian Basescu
The impeachment was one step among many that critics say Prime Minister Victor Ponta has taken in recent months to consolidate his rule. The governing coalition has already fired the speakers of both chambers of Parliament — an action the opposition called unconstitutional — and replaced the country’s ombudsman, who has the power to challenge emergency legislation before the Constitutional Court.
The (Supreme) court’s justices have been threatened with removal before their terms were up, although that idea was scrapped after an international outcry. But Mr. Ponta reduced the court’s power and is moving ahead with the impeachment.
It is the second time that Mr. Basescu — a former sea captain, anti-corruption crusader and polarizing political figure — has faced a referendum to remove him from office. A similar effort in 2007 failed when 74 percent of the voters opposed the move. Read the rest here
So let's count all the Left's strikes against Romania's Constitution and laws:
1. Illegally fire the members of the specialized Academic committee who are verifying the accusations of plagiarism of the Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta's doctoral thesis.
2. Illegally fire the Ombudsman who is opposing the impeachment of the President on constitutional grounds and who referred the case to the Supreme Court.
3. Threaten to remove Supreme Court Justices then drastically diminish their power to "consultative attributions only" when they decide the impeachment has no constitutional support.
4. Illegally modify the Constitution to make the impeachment process easier.
5. Illegally remove the Speaker of the House and the Senate President and replace them with puppets of the Prime Minister.
6. Propose a law to ban Romanian citizens living abroad (who are in their overwhelming majority a center-right voting base) from voting in the Romanian elections.
Thank God for America and for the wisdom of the founding Fathers to put the Second Amendment in the US Constitution to help us citizens protect our freedom and preserve the Government system of checks and balances . Without the Second Amendment there is no question the American Left would have long time ago crapped on on our Constitution and pissed on our liberties.
...reads one of my blog entries (a video of a televised debate in a Muslim country in which one of the opponents produces a revolver), then he decides to post this commentary which is not only idiotic but also totally unrelated to the issue in the blog entry. Read it - it is a true gem of stupidity produced by a brain dead Occupying idiot who is claiming the video in question proves that...I am supporting Mitt Romney? WTF???
Joe Skillz · 1 day agoI always enjoy reading your blog. It helps keep me grounded, knowing that there are many more gun-hugging, scared, sociopaths with calloused hands and room-temperature IQs, willing to do the bidding of rich Republicans, who laugh all the way to country club at how they have scammed the lower classes into subsidizing their holier-than-thou lifestyles. You think Romney wants to have dinner with you? You think he wants your daughter to marry one of his sons? Think again. He wants you to change the oil in his Mercedes and he wants your daughter to clean the toilets in his mansion. Figure it out.
TranssylvaniaP 16 Hours agoDear Joe Skillz,
Not sure how did you get the impression I support Romney after you watched the funny video of the gun threatening Muslim. Did you read any entry on my blog even mentioning Romney's name? I think not. Must be your decaying liberal brain dipped in stinking Marxist shit for way too long that is causing you to have these schizophrenic delusions.
I'm not a Romney fan. But if you don't believe me go ahead and look for yourself, browse my entire blog. Maybe you'll learn a thing or two in the process, so maybe you'll be able to finally to pass the graduation test and get your middle school diploma.
Oh, and by the way... since you are ASSuming untrue things about me, let me tell you a couple of things about myself: I am a (legal) immigrant to this great country. I came here with only the clothes on my back 13 years ago after escaping from Romania. Since you probably don't have an idea where Romania is I'll enlighten you: it is a shit hole (former) communist Eastern European - nowadays socialist country, where a regular Joe Citizen needs a government issued permit to purchase and own a target bow or a simple air rifle and where only criminals and corrupt politicians have firearms. Just the kind of egalitarian gun-free kind of country you'd like America to become, isn't it?
After arriving in the US I never asked anybody for any handouts, I never needed any social assistance from the State, I never complained of being discriminated because some people were condescending me for my broken English, I never asked for food stamps or any welfare benefits even when my refrigerator was empty and didn't had enough change to wash my clothes at the laundromat. In other words, I was too proud to count on your liberal pity and become a slave tied on the Democrat plantation. I was a delivery driver, a janitor, a repairman. My wife cleaned motel rooms. And we're not ashamed of doing that. Work is work, you do what you have to do to succeed - and only stupid condescending liberals like yourself who are born with a silver spoon in their mouth are considering low paying jobs degrading.
Five years later I started my own business with a $1,000 capital and with the sweat of my brow I put my wife through college and grad school, and my son in the best film school in the world there is: the University of Southern California Institute Of Cinematic Arts.
So there you have it, Joe (no)Skillz: my autobiography and the American Dream - both in only three paragraphs. I hope you'll learn something reading it and better yourself in the future. Or if you so choose, stay a stupid liberal and keep on Occupying your parents basement until you're 45.
P.S. Edited to add:
Speaking of Romney's Mercedes: I also drive a Mercedes. My wife drives a Mercedes too. And my son drives a Volvo. Like Romney, we didn't steal them - we earned them. If you ever decide to quit your non-stop pot induced daze and decide you need a job please call me. I may have an opening for a grease monkey. So call me after you graduate middle school, OK?. Until then I'm doing the oil changes myself on all my family cars - and I'm not ashamed of that.

Well, not really. Here is how the winner is settled in a televised political debate in an Arab country:
No, you eyes didn't lied to you. That was really a .38 snub nose revolver the Jordanian PM was pointing at his debate opponent (after throwing one of his shoes at him first) . And keep in mind, this is in Jordan, one of the most enlightened and civilized Muslim countries!
I wonder what would have happened if the argument became REALLY mean; "Your mama eats...pork chops!???"

Differences between Bush's "Wide Receiver" and Obama's "Fast & Furious" explained for stupid liberals:
Fast & Furious - The number of guns used in the operation from the beginning until the end of the operation was 2,000
Wide Receiver - Guns were traced with miniature tracking devices and constant surveillance from ground and air.
Fast & Furious - No tracking devices were used, no surveillance was made whatsoever.
Wide Receiver - ATF agents were ordered to follow the gun smugglers every step of their trip from the gun store to the US/Mexico border.
Fast & Furious - ATF agents were ordered to stand down and not follow the gun smugglers after they left the gun store. The only surveillance was made through the gun store own video cameras; after gun smugglers left the store, the ATF agents were expressly ordered not to pursue.
Wide Receiver - Mexican army and police was in the loop about Wide Receiver. They took over the surveillance of the gun smugglers after they crossed with the guns in Mexico.
Fast & Furious - Mexican authorities were kept in the dark by the ATF and the US DOJ. They had no idea about Fast & Furious and the fact that guns provided to gun smugglers by the American authorities were "walked" in Mexico into the hands of drug cartel murderers.
Wide Receiver - When a small number of guns (30-40) were lost due to the malfunctioning tracking devices and / or because the gun smugglers figured out they were watched from a surveillance airplane flying overhead and learned how to take cover and evade, the operation Wide Receiver was immediately aborted and cancelled.
Fast and Furious - Operation continued even after ATF and DOJ lost track of all 2,000 guns sold to Mexican drug cartels
Wide Receiver - The operation was planned in such a way the gun smugglers and their cargo were kept under surveillance step by step, from the gun store to the US/Mexico border, across the border into Mexico and to their final destination: the hands of the drug cartel killers. This led to 1,400 arrests made in joint operations by the Mexican authorities and DEA and ATF agents. No lost Wide Receiver guns were recovered at crime scenes in Mexico or the US.
Fast & Furious - The operation was planned to let the guns go without any surveillance. Guns were supposed to be recovered at the murder scenes. One of the 150+ murder scenes where Fast & Furious guns were recovered was that of US border patrol agent Brian Terry; another one was the murder scene of ICE agent Jaime Zapata. So far DOJ and ATF didn't came with any explanation about how they were planning to make arrests of the drug cartel murderers BEFORE THEY KILLED PEOPLE with the Fast & Furious guns, and how they were supposed to do those arrest in Mexico without the Mexican authorities knowing anything about this operation.
Fast & Furious results: 300+Mexican citizens murdered; 2 US Federal agents murdered.

Maher's IQ can make an aphid's intellect look towering in comparison. I will now end this post with a quote from one of the commentators on Maher's blog:
here is a suggestion: lock yourself in a room with Col. West, guarded by MPs, talk your trash to him personally (don't forget to tell him you think that because he is a Republican he is nothing more than an ape), and let the best man exit the room.

Introducing: the .22 caliber Zippo gun
This gun is about as tiny as it gets. Gizmodo explains that the 4mm bullets are about the size of Tic Tac and wouldn’t carry much of a punch. We wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of one of these, but at the same time you can’t be certain that this thing is going to deliver a kill shot.More
It’s a novelty item more than anything else, though it does have some serious self-defense potential. Could you imagine carrying one of these around in a state where concealed carry is banned? Cops wouldn’t even give it a second glance.

Most deportees (without hesitation I would call them the fortunate ones) were shot right on the spot after being handed over to the KGB units by the THE US AND BRITISH TROOPS; the less then lucky deportees were first tortured then shot or hanged, or tortured then sent to die a slow death in the Siberian Gulags.
The most shocking and sickening fact: many of the deportees were not even Soviet citizens; they were refugees who fled during the communist revolution and settled in the West between 1918-1921. Many of them were the children of those refugees, born and raised in the West. Yet those children and their mothers and fathers were sent to USSR to face Stalin's execution squads.
From A FOOTNOTE TO YALTA:
The fate of these Russians was one of the best kept secrets of the war. As many as could surrendered to American and British forces, trusting that they would eventually be able to settle somewhere outside the Soviet Union. But in February 1945, at the Yalta conference, Roosevelt and Churchill agreed to Stalin's demand that they be handed over to him. The anti-Soviet Russians in the hands of the western allies would therefore be betrayed. To carry out the repatriation order, American and British servicemen often had to resort to deception and brute force. No one doubted what was in store for the Russians once they were in Soviet hands. Many were executed on the spot.
In some instances, Allied guards responsible for turning over their prisoners could see their bodies hanging in the forests where the exchange took place. Some were transferred on the same boat that had brought the British delegation to Yalta a few months previously. They were shot behind warehouses on the quay side with low flying Soviet planes circling overhead to help drown the noise of the rifle fire. Many returned prisoners were tortured before being shot. The remainder disappeared into prison camps for long sentences, receiving the worst treatment of all the Gulag's inmates. Needless to say all were immediately stripped of the new winter clothing and personal equipment that had been generously issued to them by the British in response to the cynical demands of Soviet liaison officers. American and British officers were the appalled eyewitnesses to many desperate acts of suicide by Russian men and women who preferred their own death and that of their wives and children to falling into the hands of the Cheka/NKVD/GPU/KGB.
The more we think about these seven minutes of official film the more disturbing the questions become. Five weeks earlier, Russians interned at Dachau, site of the notorious Nazi concentration camp and not far from Plattling, had resisted their repatriation with a ferocity that stunned American military police, resulting in at least ten suicides. Did someone have the idea of using a film clip to quell rumors about the difficulties the American army encountered in the forcible repatriation program? Did they think they might show the clip in other camps whose inmates were also scheduled for deportation? The film material strongly suggests that it was intended to give the impression that the repatriation policy was being conducted without incident. Continues here.
There is a lesson to be learned here. Just because you live in a democracy doesn't mean you're safe from being put in a cattle wagon heading out to an extermination camp.

I am proud to announce that after years of hard work and dedication my son got accepted in an academic institution that is unanimously considered the world's best film school: University of California School of Cinematic Arts.
For those of you who may ask why is this such a great achievement, let me say this: it is twice as easy for a student to be accepted in a Ivy League University like Princeton or Harward than to get in the USC Film School. In fact, every year USC only accepts 4% of the applicants as students for the School of Cinematic Arts.
My son is an amazingly talented, dedicated and hardworking young man (when it's about his movies, of course). He got the film making bug in the 6th grade and ever since it became his life obsession. His success in being admitted to USC from the first try and becoming part of the select 4% is due not only to his talent and passion but also to:
- the countless hours of study so he could maintain a school GPA of 3.9,
- the long days and weekends he worked as a P/A, grip, boom mic operator and sometimes cameraman on various movie sets with very little or (most times) no pay,
- the long nights he spent in front of his computer monitor learning how to do film editing, sound and color correction - all self taught.
- to the vacations he spent taking summer semester college movie production and directing classes while his high school classmates were enjoying surfboarding and partying.
As you all can see, my son is clearly not an occupier. He is not a 99 percent-er, but a 4 percent-er. He is where he is today because we raised him to be a Christian and a strong, principled conservative who knows that hard work and dedication is the price he has to pay to succeed and achieve his dreams.
Hollywood beware: you are infiltrated!
Edited to add:
So far 2012 is very good year for him: last month he started a new film, working as director of photography. Filming has begun on a location in San Diego - and this time he's paid real money. The production will last until fall and there are good chances the project to be sequel-ed in the Spring of 2013. He was also solicited to work on a documentary that will be filmed in various locations in the US and Western European countries. He accepted the offer - and hopefully he will find the time to participate in it while taking his classes at USC. Pretty amazing stuff he is doing at his 21 years of age!

The very same day, news spreads like fire in the gun owners community. Blogs, Tweeter, Facebook - all talk about this.
Take a look at what happens with BofA stock starting with April 19th:
Bank of America and his backer George Soros forgot one fact: over 50% of all American households own guns. If multi-billionaire Soros can afford to lose money, I'm sure regular Bofa shareholders can't.

Obama: “I can’t believe Romney strapped his dog to the roof of his car. That ruins the flavor.”More at IMAO
Obama isn’t anti-woman; when he said “bitch,” he was referring to his meal.
When Obama was looking for a dog he wasn’t allergic to, I thought it was the dander he was worried about.
Obama: “I promise you: If you like your dog, you can keep him. Though I may ask you to share some with me.”
Cesar Milan (the Dog Whisperer): “Remember, it’s exercise, discipline, then affection.”
Obama: “Yeah, but what temperature do I set the oven?”
Boy, I bet David Axelrod now wishes he didn't wrote that idiotic tweet about Romney's dog traveling in a dog carrier crate atop the family SUV. :)

MARIN COUNTY -- Lucasfilm pulled the plug on its bid to develop the old Grady Ranch on Tuesday, citing bitter opposition from neighbors and regulatory delays, and said it intends to sell the land for a low-income subdivision development.
Saying it was withdrawing the project "with great sadness," Lucasfilm added it will build the production studio facilities it needs elsewhere."The level of bitterness and anger expressed by the homeowners in Lucas Valley has convinced us that, even if we were to spend more time and acquire the necessary approvals, we would not be able to maintain a constructive relationship with our neighbors," the firm owned by billionaire filmmaker George Lucas added.
"We plan to sell the Grady property, expecting that the land will revert back to its original use for residential housing," Lucasfilm said. "We hope we will be able to find a developer who will be interested in low-income housing since it is scarce in Marin. If everyone feels that housing is less impactful on the land, then we are hoping that people who need it the most will benefit." More here
