The irony? Both victims were stabbed, not shot.

No shooting victims in North Dakota last year?
But how is this possible in a state where over 50% of the population owns at least one gun?

According to the Brady Gun Hating Club with so many firearms in the hands of the population and gun laws so relaxed, rivers of blood should flow in North Dakota; there should be innocent victims of drive-by shootings riddled with bullets and agonizing at practically every street corner. That's because (according to the Bradytes) North Dakota ranks #44 in their worst, most unsafe states to live in.

Well, it seems that Mr. Helmke's oppinion that every armed citizen may be a potential murderer is nothing but bull manure. But what else would you expect to come from the mouth of the brain dead Democrat who runs the Brady Bunch ?

For the record, Washington, D.C. has some of the strictest gun laws in the country and the fewest legal gun owners. Guess where they stand in number of homicides with a firearm.

You should ask my wife who's unsuccessfully looking for a job right now and it seems that all positions she applied for in the last six months have been occupied by other candidates belonging to minorities, with less work experience and less education.

Court to pay $424k for white discrimination


Detroit's 36th District Court must pay a longtime white employee $424,000 because he was repeatedly denied promotions in favor of black applicants.

The Michigan Supreme Court on Friday let stand a jury's discrimination verdict for Kenneth Sciotti in 2005.

Sciotti had shown at trial that in the departments he applied to, all but one of the supervisors were black. All nine supervisory jobs he wanted in a four-year period were filled by blacks.

Sciotti, who started at the court in 1979, said he was passed over for less-qualified applicants.

The district court also has to pay Sciotti at least $151,000 in attorney fees and costs. The Michigan Court of Appeals upheld the verdict in 2007 before it was appealed again.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are NOT expected to demonstrate.

Gun Free Zone Rule Works Flawlessly Once Again At Virginia Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va. (Jan. 21) — A graduate student from China was decapitated with a kitchen knife in a campus cafe at Virginia Tech by another graduate student who knew her, police said Thursday.

Xin Yang, 22, was killed Wednesday night after arriving at the campus from Beijing on Jan. 8 to begin studying accounting, Virginia Tech Police Chief Wendell Flinchum said.

A Historic Day For America (Lots O' LOLZ)

In a few short days, an African American man will move from his private residence into a much larger and infinitely more expensive one owned not by him but by the taxpayers.

A vast lawn, a perimeter fence and many well trained security specialists will insulate him from the rest of us but the mere fact that this man will be residing in this house should make us all stop and count our blessings - because it proves that we live in a nation where anything is possible.

Many truly believed this day would never come. Most of us hoped and prayed that it would, but few of us actually believed we would live to see it.
Racism is an ugly thing in all of it's forms and there is little doubt that if this man had moved into this house fifteen years ago, there would have been a great outcry - possibly even rioting in the streets.

Today, we can all be both grateful and proud that no such mayhem will take place.when this man takes up residency in this house.
This man, moving into this house at this time in our nation's history is much more than a simple change of addresses for him - it is proof of a change in our attitude as a nation.

It is an amends of sorts - the righting of a great wrong. It is a symbol of our growth, and of our willingness to "judge a man, not by the color of his skin but by the content of his character".

There can be little doubt now that the vast majority of us truly believe that this man has earned both his place in history and his new address .

His time in this house will not be easy - it will be fraught with danger and he will face many challenges.

I am sure there will be many times when he asks himself how in the world he ended up here and like all who have gone before him, the experience will age him greatly.

But I for one will not waste an ounce of worry for his sake - because in every way a man can, he asked for this.

His whole life for the past fifteen years appears to have been inexorably leading this man toward this house.

It is highly probable that in the past, despite all of his actions, racism would have kept this man out of this house.

Today, I thank the lord above that I am an American and that I live in a nation where wrongs are righted, where justice matters and where truly anything is possible.

London: Iranian academic sliced out sections of priceless British Library book collection

To the untrained eye the damage is barely visible. Yet within the handbound pages of books charting how Europeans travelled to Mesopotamia, Persia and the Mogul empire from the 16th century onwards, the damage caused by one Iranian academic to a priceless British Library collection is irreversible.

Leading scholars at the library are at a loss to explain why Farhad Hakimzadeh, a Harvard-educated businessman, publisher and intellectual, took a scalpel to the leaves of 150 books that have been in the nation's collection for centuries. The monetary damage he caused over seven years is in the region of £400,000 but Dr Kristian Jensen, head of the British and early printed collections at the library, said no price could be placed upon the books and maps that he had defaced and stolen.

"These are historic objects which have been damaged forever," said Jensen. "You cannot undo what he has done and it has compromised a piece of historical evidence which charts the early engagement of Europeans with what we now know as the Middle East and China.

"It makes me extremely angry. This is someone who is extremely rich who has damaged and destroyed something that belongs to everybody."

Hakimzadeh, 60, faces a jail sentence today when he appears at Wood Green magistrates court in London. The Iranian-born academic fled his country after the fall of the Shah and holds a US passport. He has pleaded guilty to 14 specimen charges of stealing maps, pages and illustrations from 10 books at the British Library and four from the Bodleian Library in Oxford dating back to 1998.

When police searched his home in Knightsbridge, west London, last July they discovered some of the missing maps, pages and pictures inserted into less valuable editions of the same books he owned.

Academics at the library were forced to turn detective in June 2006 after a reader who had taken out a copy of Sir Thomas Herbert's book A Relation of Some Yeares Travaille, Begunne Anno 1626 suggested some of its pages had been removed.

Careful examination by experts at the library proved him to be correct and the staff mounted a delicate operation to find out who had been damaging the book and whether other items had suffered the same fate.

Using electronic records, they found all the British Library members who had taken out the book and then examined other works these people had had contact with. They discovered that other works detailing the same periods in history and covering European engagement to the area from modern-day Syria to Bangladesh were also damaged.

Pages had been sliced away close to the spine of the books and maps, one of them worth £32,000, had been removed from chapters, leaving barely noticeable indentations in the paper marking where they had been.

"It was only the books taken out by Hakimzadeh which showed a consistent pattern of damage," said Jensen.

They discovered that Hakimzadeh had taken out 842 books and of these at least 150 had been mutilated. Some of the stolen pages were discovered but many have been lost forever.

The library wrote to Hakimzadeh, who at the time was chief executive of the Iran Heritage Foundation, a charity he formed in 1995 to promote and perserve the history, languages and culture of Iran. He replied saying he had no idea that there was any damage to the books. It was at this point that the library went to the police with the details of the investigation.

Forensic scientists analysed the damaged books and police officers called at Hakimzadeh's Knightsbridge home, where he lived with his wife.

"Some pages were found loose and others had been inserted into books in his own collection," said Jensen, who acccompanied the officers. "Hakimzadeh is eminently characteristic of our traditional groups of readers: he has a profound knowledge of the field. From my point of view, that makes it worse because he actually knew the importance of what he was damaging. What he did was use the cover of serious scholarly purpose to steal historic pieces and abuse our trust."

The library has launched a civil action to sue Hakimzadeh for full compensation.

Historia de la China From the writings of Father Matteo Ricci, an Italian Jesuit who travelled to China in 1582 and became the first western traveller to settle there. First published in Latin in 1615. This copy was printed in Spain in 1621. Ricci learned to speak and write Chinese and his work was the first important and reliable European description of the country.

Novus Orbis An anthology of works by Simon Grynaeus, professor of Greek at Basle. Hakimzadeh removed an engraving of a world map drawn by Hans Holbein the Younger, court painter to Henry VIII.

Mithridates By the English dramatist Nathaniel Lee. Published in 1693.

Ost-indian-und Persianische Reisen By Johann Gottlieb Worm, the German philosopher who accompanied an envoy of the Dutch East India Company sent to the Safavid court in Persia in 1717. He travelled to Isfahan from India via Bandar. Published in 1745.

Farhad Hakimzadeh is only following the tradition of Caliph Umar, the man who put the Library of Alexandria to fire in 642 AD. After the Byzantine army was defeated at the Battle of Heliopolis, the commander of the Islamic army asked the caliph Umar what to do with the books he found in the Library of Alexandria. Umar gave the famous answer: "They will either contradict the Koran, in which case they are heresy, or they will agree with it, so they are superfluous".

Why is it so hard for liberals to understand what made America great? Going back to the infancy of our nation, Real Americans (you know, those who aren't emasculated bed wetting liberals) have viewed our place as the leaders of the free world as manifest destiny. Never before has a nation achieved so much in so little time on the sweat of those who had little to speak of but a burning desire for freedom with the only impediment to success being the scourge of liberalism.


Our nation was borne of the frustration of big government that raped and pillaged at will. They silenced free speech, stole private property and enforced their will on the masses who turned out to be nothing more than sheep. If this sounds familiar, it should. The year may have been 1773, but it also could have been any of the couple hundred years between then and today, where the sheep still flock to their messianic leader with promises of more nanny state entitlements.

Truth be known, the majority of colonists did not support the out of touch visions of such radicals as Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington or Samuel Adams. They viewed those who spoke of freedom, liberty and rugged individualism with as much disdain as liberals today have for General Petraeus, George Bush, Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich, Joe Arpaio or Tom Tancredo who all share a burning desire for preservation of our Constitutional rights from the continued assault being waged by the anti-American left.


Were it not for guns, our small militia never would have found a way to win at Saratoga or Trenton. Were it not for guts, Thomas Payne never would have written Common Sense. Were it not for God, Thomas Jefferson never would have had the inspiration to pen the Declaration of Independence. Were it not for pansies, Barack Obama would not be a serious presidential candidate today.

Many say that we have become a disgrace; a worthless nanny state on its way to the economic hell known as socialism. We have a nation of pansies who preach hatred of capitalism and success while bowing at the alter of failure, defeat, class warfare and racism because they know no better.

I beg to differ, as there are millions who do understand our plight. Sadly, the millions who do understand make up barely a majority of Americans, and should even some of those stay home on election day, we could put in place a president who will inevitably be the 21st century of Jimmy Carter; in other words a failure of epic proportions.

It’s important to remember that most of the colonists were against the revolution. My guess is that they were most often the stupid, the uninformed or equally as bad those who desired the security of the nanny state imperialist government. While times may have changed, people have not, as we still have the stupid and the uninformed in our midst who unfortunately are allowed to vote. Worse yet, we have those who cling to the nanny state mentality, not realizing the implications their greed will have on our freedom and our economy.

Simply put, the upcoming election will be a gathering of those who love freedom and those who are merely sheep. There is time to educate the sheep, for if we fail in this simple duty, there will be no return as liberals lead us down the beaten path to hell, better known as socialism.

"Prostitution Free Zone" During Obamessiah Inauguration

WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- District police have placed signs along 5th and I Streets. They read, "Warning, Prostitution Free Zone." Those who disobey could be fined 300 dollars, and even jailed. But will the city's plan work?

DC City Councilman Jim Graham said officers cannot enforce loitering laws, which is the reason for these signs.

"Because this is focused, its limited in time, its aimed at a very specific issue, if you don't move along, well put you in the car," he said.

Confirmed: There was a shooting incident in Glasgow, Montana on Saturday afternoon. Besides the shooter, one person was killed and two were injured. Police locked down the community, warned people to lock doors and stay inside, and followed a blood trail which eventually led to the deceased shooter.

Unconfirmed but probable: The shooter made his attack at a local hospital and killed a female Emergency Medical Technician. Scott Billingsly was present because his wife works at the hospital.
Scott has a Montana concealed weapon permit, was armed, and engaged the shooter in defense of himself and others. Scott was injured in the hand and Scott's wife was also injured. The shooter was seriously injured and was driven off by Scott's armed engagement of the shooter. The seriously wounded shooter sought shelter, leaving the blood trail that law enforcement followed, where they found the shooter dead of a possibly self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The people of Glasgow who know these details are highly thankful that an armed citizen was present and able to interdict the killer before he could kill more than the one person murdered, possibly saving the lives of many other hospital employees.

Somehow this kind of news don't make it to national headlines in major liberal drive-by media. I keep on wondering why.

And not only that: somehow good Dr. O'Neill managed to count how many gun stores located along the Mexican-US border are engaged in selling hand grenades and RPG launchers to Mexican drug dealers: 7,000 (according to her there are three gun stores for every mile along the border)
